Our Story
At Miraflora, we believe you reap what you sow.
Our Origins
One Colorado’s original homesteads, the Miraflora farm has been family-owned since its inception. In addition to raising Wagyu cattle, goats, alpaca, and honey bees, we grow hay, lavender, wildflowers, and pumpkins—all on 160-acres of organic land fed by snowmelt flowing from Rocky Mountain National Park.
The Miraflora Difference
Dr. Ryan Rhoades is our CBO, or chief beef officer, and he knows more about raising Wagyu than anyone in the country. He holds a PhD in meat science and works as a beef extension specialist at Colorado State University. He holds the record for the most marbled Wagyu ever produced in this country—and our Wagyu consistently outranks the competition.
Our Wagyu cattle are descended from 100% Kuroge Wagyu from Japan. We give our cattle miles of organic hay pastures to graze on and supplement with scientifically formulated feed developed by Dr. Rhoades. We believe the best quality beef comes from the happiest cows—and the proof is in our product.
